About

I am a conceptual location photographer based in the centre of a landscape photographer’s paradise, the South Island of New Zealand. I have developed strong calf muscles and broad shoulders hauling camera gear up mountains and down rivers, sometimes with only opossums and sandflies for company.
My obsession has been to amass a huge library of cinematic landscape imagery that can be used in conceptual campaigns. I love the drama and heroism of the landscape and make work that draws a connection between the environment and the people.
I discovered my passion for photography after graduating from Massey University with a computer science degree. Although I didn’t feel so passionate about computer science, I picked up some useful problem solving skills; and a great record collection.
Having worked as a retoucher, an ambassador for Adobe Australasia, and dabbled in 3D, I have an excellent understanding of post production techniques and draw on these to bring images to life. I enjoy the challenge of experimentation and innovation; always looking for that edge that sets my work apart.
It would be wonderful to think an image of mine inspired someone to see the world differently, or made them feel more connected to their environment.
